Well, another week the IWP iRacing Team represents the brand in the sim racing community. With two leagues now on the docket, there are more chances to support our boys. Before we start, we REALLY appreciate you guys joining in to support and watch us race. We love this community we are building and that is really cool of you guys.
Smokey Mountain Racing League – Race 10 – Richmond
Richmond is one of the IWPs best tracks. It seems like all 5 of the guys have a good feel for the track, and know how to get up through the field. The race started with the 20 on the pole, the 94 in p6, the 95 in p8 and the 18 somewhere in the fucking back.
It didn’t take long as by lap 54 the running order was 94-20-94. A caution right before the stage would cause some tire chaos but eventually it would be the 95 who wins stage 1.
Early in stage 2, the 20 miscalculated the exit of turn 2 and got 8 mins of damage to the front of the car. He would recover to finish 10th on the day.
With roughly 90 laps to go, the field went green and the 95-94-18 were all top 5. The 95 and 94 broke out to the front, and with some saving, were good to go on fuel to the end way out in front of the field, but a caution would reset the strategies.
The 95 still out front on the ensuing green flag run, the 94 ran down p2 and p3, and with three laps to go made his move, however the 48 had other ideas..
On the restart, chaos would occur and your final positions are:
- 94 – p4
- 95 – p7
- 20 – p10
- 18 – 15
United Motorsports Association – Race 1 – Kansas
Some of the IWP group is now participating in the UMA FULL LENGTH RACE iRacing series which kicked off on Friday night at Kansas. This is an open setup league, and you read correctly… full length races. That means patience, consistency is way more important than raw speed.

The roster includes, Kaufman (2), Finley (94), Hedgecock (18), and WarmSnuggz (20).
The 2 and the 94 completely dominated the day. The 2 would win stage 1, the 94 in p3. They would lead the most laps combined on the day, have the fastest lap time (94 car) on the day, and ultimately finish 1-2 with the 2 in victory lane.
It was a great last stage, after a pit road penalty by the 2 the 94 assumed the lead midway through stage 2, and would lead most of the start of final 100 lap stage. With a 2.4 second lead, pit stops began and the 94 just needed to make no mistakes and the win was his. However, when the 2 pit from p2 a caution came out trapping him multiple laps down.
Through some great race control work and some cautions… the 2 would get himself back on the lead lap where there were only 5 cars on it. On the final 35 lap run to the finish, the 2 would work through the top 4 and pass the 94 for the win.
The big story was the battle from the back however, as both Bryce and Snugz qualified in the 20s. They had a long day to get up there, and Snugz found himself battling for p3 in stage 2. Tragedy struck in stage 3, as his teammate in the 18 got tight on the bottom three wide and would spin Snugz out. The 20 would finish in p11 the first car a lap down.
Bryce shook it off however, and battled up through the field to be the biggest mover on the day from 24 at the start to secure a top 5.
The IWP team would finish 1-2-5-11 in a very competitive day at Kansas.
