Among the highest voted tracks of season 1, the IWP returns to the famed Michigan International Speedway where entry speeds with peak above the 200 mark and the racing will surely be intense. This is a track that will test your consistency to stay out of the wall as it will be those that can Larson-Line this bad boy who will bring home victory. Lets take a look at who the cars to watch are this week.
Nick Kaufman – 5
The most recent winner of a Michigan race at the IWP, the 5 car (ironically enough) is the master of the Larson line. If he can stay up front and avoid late race shenanigans, the 5 car is no doubt the favorite this week.
Corey Russell – 19
We have had 2 races at Michigan, and the 19 has finished second in both. Due for his first win in the IWP, Corey has been bad fast and is riding high off his 4th place finish last week.
BobbyLeeSwagger – 3
The rookie shined last week with top 5 finishes in both stages and a p2 finish in the race. The 3 car has shown an aptitude for this style of race track, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see him in victory lane.
Dark Horse 1: ErickofMichigan – 97
He aint Erick of Ohio, its the home town track and he looked real solid fighting up front at Vegas. Another rookie looking to make a name for himself, this is the place to do it.
Dark Horse 2: FatRandy – 32
Not at the last Michigan race, the 32 did score a top 5 to start the year last year. If he can get up there, I think he can stay up there.
